Chaperones will be needed for upcoming football games and contests.   

 
Chaperone duties include passing out snacks, collecting the wrappers/trash, filling students' water jugs, pushing drum major podiums, and riding buses for contests.  Plus you get to enjoy the halftime show at the football games and the contest performances. 
  • Chaperones should wear a Trojan Pride shirt or a Jenks shirt
  • Chaperones must have completed the  2025-26 Volunteer Confidentiality Training
  • Chaperones provide a copy of a current Oklahoma Food Handlers Permit
  • Chaperones must sign a copy of the Chaperone Handbook
  • Chaperones enter the stadium through the Southeast gate (for football games)
  • Chaperones DO NOT need a ticket (for the football games)
  • Chaperones will ride the buses (to and from contest)
  • Chaperones are required to check in through the schoolSAFid system. A valid driver’s license or ID is required for this process. SchoolSAFid is in any Jenks campus main office. Then simply forward to one of the JBP Chaperone Coordinators. (Note: The schoolSAFid is only available during school hours.)

Chaperone Coordinators: 

Time Commitment - Chaperones duties typically start about an hour before the games, which usually end around 10:00 pm. Contests are normally on Saturdays and last all day.  

 

Chaperone Volunteer Information - In order to ensure the safety of our students and to comply with school regulations, volunteer policies and procedures are required for every volunteer.  We need everyone that is volunteering as a chaperone to fill out a volunteer application.  The volunteer app is online.  It does NOT produce paperwork for you to print out and turn in (YEA!!!).  Please use this link to perform this task prior to fulfilling the duties of chaperone.

To be a chaperone, the Jenks Public School Volunteer training, school SAFEid screening and signature confirmation of reading the Chaperone Handbook are required in order to support the band program.  

 
There are many tasks a chaperone may do in order to support the band program and the Chaperone Handbook is an important guide that outlines the requirements and expectations to support the students, band directors and staff, as well as each other during events and performance competitions throughout the year.

Volunteer Contract is available on page 14 of the Chaperone Handbook.Parents wishing to serve as chaperones for overnight trips will be required to go through the application process with the Jenks Band Parents Organization.
