1. All adults must have their liquor license thru the ABLE commission. Please reach out if you have questions.
2. If you sign up to work, please show up and do not cancel last minute.
3. When the Drillers cancel games or reduce the number of workers (because of inclement weather or other factors), your shift may be cancelled. We will always ask for volunteers first. If there are not enough volunteers, we will try to cancel those who have worked the most recently so that everyone has an opportunity. We understand it is frustrating when the Drillers reduce the number of workers needed but the band doesn't have any say in it.

CONCESSION STAND VOLUNTEERS

Thank you for volunteering for the concession stand!

• Concession workers must be part of one or more of the following groups
  • Current 8th – 12th Grade Jenks Band Student.
  • Parent or Legal Guardian of a current 8th – 12th grade Jenks Band Student.
  • Current 8th – 12th Grade Jenks High School student who is a sibling of a current 8th – 12th Grade Jenks Band Student.
• Concession workers must provide a copy of a current Oklahoma Food Handlers Permit.
• Concession workers will receive a per hour credit applied to their student’s trip account. Partial hours worked will be prorated accordingly.
• Concession workers must wear closed toe shoes and a travel T-shirt.

Volunteer shifts include the following opportunities 

• Cashier - ADULT ONLY
• Runner - Preferably 8th graders, students but open to anyone
• Food Preparation - Open to anyone
• Beverage Stocker - Must be able to lift cases of soda

 

Our Story

The Jenks Band Parents Organization first started running concessions in the fall of 2010.  We started with the home JV, 8th grade, 9th grade, and Varsity football games.  From there, we have continued to add opportunities including Soccer, Lacrosse, and Baseball.  As our band family continues to grow we continue to look for additional opportunities.

 

The addition of concessions has allowed us to offer those who work in the concessions a unique opportunity to meet other members of the band family while at the same time earning credits toward their student trip fund account.

 

Food Handler's Permit - Below is the link to the online class for the food handlers permit for volunteers.  You can complete this online but you will need to have a printer accessible in order to print your permit. You only have one chance to print-access the card once you complete the training.

A food handlers permit is REQUIRED for anyone (students and parents) planning on working concessions AND any parent interested in chaperoning. 

 

THE PERMITS ARE FREE AND WILL LAST FOR ONE YEAR.
